Chiu Chow
About
The Chiu Chow language belongs to the major dialect group Min. It is a variety of Chinese spoken in the Chaoshan region of eastern Guangdong. In the 18th and 20th centuries, many Chiu Chow speaking people immigrated to Hong Kong.
In this report, we refer people whose origin is Chiu Chow as Chiu Chow people or Teochew.
